Truth

Image result for truthGod's Word is truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 119:160, NKJV. "The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever."
The law of God is truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 119:142, NKJV. "Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth."
God is a God of truth. It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 32:4 , NKJV. "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He."
God wants everyone to come to know the truth. It's in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, NKJV.  "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Jesus is our way and truth that takes us from our helpless, lost, and sinful state into full, complete, everlasting life. It's in the Bible, John 14:6, NKJV. "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
The Holy Spirit leads us to the truth. It's in the Bible, John 16:13, NKJV. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
Christ's life and death for our sins was done in mercy and truth joined together, not one without the other. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 16:6, "In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil"
If we accept the truth that we are sinful, then we can ask Jesus to forgive us, and cleanse us. It's in the Bible, John 1:8-9, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
The truths of the Bible have the power to change us and free us from sin. It's in the Bible, John 17:17, NKJV. "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."
Truth doesn't change, but endures. It's in the Bible, Psalm 117:2, NKJV. "For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!"
Knowing the truth gives freedom. It's in the Bible, John 8:32, NKJV. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
When you know the truth - practice it. It's in the Bible, John 12:25, NKJV. " Then Jesus said to them, 0'A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.'"
To be in God's presence, is to speak be able to speak truth even in our innermost thoughts. It's in the Bible, Psalm 15:1-2, NKJV. "LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart;"
Truth spoken in love demonstrates growth in Christ. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 4:15, "but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—"
One of the fruits of the Spirit dwelling in us is truth. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 5:9, NKJV. "for the fruit of the Spiritis in all goodness, righteousness, and truth"
Worshipping God must be done in not just the spirit, but also the truth. It's in the Bible, John 4:23, NKJV. "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."
Truth helps secure your position of authority. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 20:28, NKJV. "Mercy and truth preserve the king, And by lovingkindness he upholds his throne."
We will be judged by the standard of truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 96:13, "before the LORD. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth."
If you are in the truth, you have nothing to hide. It's in the Bible, John 3:21, NKJV. "But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Love rejoices in the truth.  It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, NKJV. "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth"
Truth shields and protects.  It's in the Bible, Psalm 91:4, NKJV. "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler."
It is our own responsiblity to find out truth for ourselves. It's in the Bible, 2 Timothy 2:15, NKJV. " Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"
Lies never last, truth stands the test of time. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 12:19, NKJV. "The truthful lip shall be established forever, But a lying tongue is but for a moment."
Truth helps us to stand against evil. Ephesians 6:13-14, NKJV. "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness"
Truth is invincible. It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 13:8, NKJV. "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth."
Christ's salvation is the perfect picture of mercy and truth. Psalm 85:9-10, "Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed."


Trust

Image result for trustTrust God, even when you don't understand it all. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Trust is believing God will do exactly what He says He will do. It's in the Bible, Romans 3:21-22, TLB. "But now God has shown us a different way to heaven—not by 'being good enough' and trying to keep His laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says He will accept and acquit us—declare us 'not guilty’—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like."
Perfect peace results from trusting in God. It's in the Bible, Isaiah 26:3, NIV. "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trust in You."
Put your trust in God, not human beings. It's in the Bible, Jeremiah 17:5-7 NKJV. “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD."
It is folly to put your trust in wealth and money, put your trust in God who provides for you. It's in the Bible, 1 Timothy 6:17, NKJV. "Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy."
In spite of all of Job's sufferings, Job still trusted God. It's in the Bible, Job 13:15, NKJV. "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him..."
We can trust God and His word. It's in the Bible, Psalm 18:30,  NKJV. "As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him."
Trusting God's mercy will relieve us of our sorrows. It's in the Bible, Psalm 32:10, NKJV. "Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him."
First trust God and do what He calls you to do, then He will give you the desires of your heart. It's in the Bible, Psalm 37:3-5, NKJV.  "Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."
We have nothing to fear if our trust is in God. It's in the Bible, Psalm 56:3-4, NKJV. "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?"
Trust God, who wishes to save everyone. It's in the Bible, 1 Timothy 4:10, NKJV. "For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe."


Thankfulness!

Start the day with a thankful attitude, and end the day with it. It's in the Bible, NKJV. "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night,"
Being thankful is a choice. It’s in the Bible, Leviticus 22:29, NKJV. “And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, offer it of your own free will.”
One of the first marks of rejecting God is forgetting to thank him. It's in the Bible, Romans 1:21, TLB. "Yes, they knew about Him all right, but they wouldn't admit it or worship Him or even thank Him for all his daily care. And after awhile they began to think up silly ideas of what God was like and what He wanted them to do. The result was that their foolish minds became dark and confused."

Being thankful to God

Give thanks in every situation. It's in the Bible, I Thessalonians 5:18, NIV. "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
In giving thanks to God; don't forget from where our blessings come. It's in the Bible, Psalms 103: 2, NIV. "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits."
Give thanks for you are redeemed! It’s in the Bible, Psalms 107: 1-2, NKJV. “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy"
Give thanks for all the good God does for you. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 107:8, NKJV. “Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!”
We can be thankful for how God has rescued us from our enemies. It’s in the Bible, 2 Samuel 22:49, NKJV. "He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man."
Give thanks – the victory is ours! It’s in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:57, NKJV. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Praise God – He leads us into victory to help lead others along life’s way. It’s in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 2:14-15, NKJV. “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing."
Be grateful for the good people in your life. It’s in the Bible, 1 Thessalonians 1:2, NKJV. “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers,”
Be thankful for all the people in your life – even those in authority. It’s in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
Daniel gave thanks even in the face of the lion’s den – it was his habit. It’s in the Bible, Daniel 6:10, NKJV. “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”
Give thanks before the miracle. It’s in the Bible, John 11:41, NKJV. “Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.”
Give thanks to God to let others know where your good gifts come fromIt’s in the Bible, Psalms 69:30, NKJV. “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.”
In everything you do, demonstrate your gratitude to God. It’s in the Bible, Colossians 3:17, NKJV. “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Give thanks to God who made us qualified! It’s in the Bible, Colossians 1:12, NKJV. “giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”
Instead of joining in crude, vulgar, or useless chatter, give thanks. It’s in the Bible, Ephesians 5:4, NKJV. “Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.”
Trust God even in the dark of night, and give thanks. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 119: 62, NKJV. “At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, because of Your righteous judgments.”
God is on the throne – give thanks! It’s in the Bible, Revelation 11:17, NKJV. “Saying: ‘We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.”
