The Eternal End of The Wicked!

The word of God has always been clear concerning the faith of the wicked. He had promised many years ago in Psalm 9 v 17; “that the wicked shall be turned to hell and all nations that forget God.” The Almighty God through the eyes of prophesy has predicted judgment against not just individuals but sinful nations: This means, every nation practicing religions that is not from Him. Though, God still plea for these rebellious and sinful nations to repent, yet their continuous rebellion and rejection of his boundless love and mercy will eventually lead to their doom and destruction. Man sins and wickedness has reached its peak and God has said "My Spirit shall not continue to contend with man (Gen. 6 v 3a)." The final destruction of the wicked is at hand (Isaiah 24 v 1-6) and God has sworn to establish righteousness on earth in His new established kingdom, Revelation 2.

New Heaven And New Earth!

The new heaven and the new earth is God’s absolute plan for mankind and humanity. In fact, this was the plan of the Almighty God before man fell into depravity and lost. The Almighty God however, will restore his plan for man. After the annihilation of the entire world by God, as a result of the final battle between the forces of good and evil; mankind would come to not as a result of the use of destructive weapons that will have the capability to melt the earth as described by the word of God- for the Bible record this in 2 Peter 3 v 10. Therefore, it is important to know that the aftermath of this destruction will be the restoration of a new earth and a new heaven coming down from heaven to fill the empty void created already by the destruction and the passing away of the old heaven and earth, Revelation 21 v 1-2.

The Great White Throne Judgement!

There is definitely a judgment day for everyman that has ever lived; for the Bible and all man-made religion has this common belief. For according to scriptures, “it is appointed unto men once to die, after that the judgment”. Every man will be judged at the "great white throne", it is also known as “the judgment seat of Christ”. During this period, Jesus Christ- the living Son of God will judge the entire world because “the Father will judge no man”. Scripture has described this event in Revelation 20 v 11-15. A chilling detail is encapsulated in these words “And I saw the dead, small and great stand before GOD…” Judgment is imminent and is melted out to everyman that refuse to repent and accept Jesus as his LORD and Personal Savior. This great event will happen after the earth is melted away and destroyed during the battle of “Good and Evil” (2 Peter 3 v 10). The Battle of Good and Evil: The Final battle!

After 1000 years of Christ millennial kingdom, the serpent will be released from the bottomless pit to deceive the whole world again. He will gather the forces of evil to fight a final battle against God's people. The whole world will gather against Jesus and His Saints to fight one last destructive war. Unfortunately for the entire world, the forces of evil will be destroyed once and for ALL! The destruction of the earth during this war, will be so destructive that the earth will melt away with fervent heat. Then GOD will create a new earth. This new earth will descend from heaven to cover the empty space on the surface of earth.

The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ!

The millennial reign is a 1000 years period of peace set up by the King of Kings himself- Jesus Christ. Immediately after the battle of Armageddon, Christ becomes King of the whole earth and hence establish His Kingdom on earth. Christ will reign on earth for 1000 years with the raptured saint; His Saints becomes rulers, governors and presidents all over the earth. Jesus will set up His headquarters at Jerusalem and His Kingdom shall be in Peace for a millennium. This millennial reign in the calendar of God happens to be the beginning of the seventh millennium in which the earth shall experience its Sabbath- the earth will be free from the influence of Satan and his Demons until after the millennium. During the millennial reign, the wild animal will sit together with humans without posing any danger because of the presence of the King of Peace. Will you be there?

The War of Armageddon!

The war of Armageddon is a period in which Jesus Christ returns to the earth with the raptured saints to judge the sinners and the entire world. During this period, the Antichrist with its allies of nations will put up a resistance to fight against Christ but will be destroyed by the brightness of his coming. This event can be seen in the book of Exodus, Daniel, Jude and the Revelation. After the intense persecution of the Jews by the Antichrist, the Jews will call for their Messiah- Jesus will appear with his Saints to execute judgment on sinners and the Bible records that one of His feet shall touch mount Oliveth.

The Great Tribulation!

One of the most feared period in the bible is known today as the great tribulation. It is a three and a half year period of intense persecution, suffering, terror and tribulation of God’s people (Jews) and the unraptured Christians by the Antichrist. This event is described by Daniel the prophet as the “abomination that makes desolation”. Though, it has already been spoken about by Moses in Deuteronomy 4 v 30. The event is so great that Jeremiah the prophet described it as the time of Jacob’s trouble in Jeremiah 30 v 5-7. More importantly, Jesus gave an insight of this period in Matthew 24. He gave a chilling detail of the terror and the persecution of that period. The great tribulation is the last three and a half year peace pact signed between Israel and its Arab neighbours; and the signing will be engineered by the Devil himself through his only incarnate son (The Antichrist).

The Tribulation Period!

The tribulation can be described as the first three and a half year period of the seven years peace pact which the Antichrist signs between Israel and its Arab neighbors. After the war of Gog and Magog, the Antichrist takes the glory for the defeat of the Russians and its Arab confederacy. As a result, the Jews decide to go along with the Antichrist peace plan between them and their Arab neighbors. Unfortunately, after three and a half year, the Antichrist detests the Jews religious rite and called for a more civilized worship of himself. This action force the Jews to rebel against Him in which two third of them are eventually killed in the period of the great tribulation- the last three and a half year of the seven year deal pact.

The Aftermath of The Battle of Gog And Magog!

The reason behind Dr. Cooper's conclusion is found in Ezekiel 39, where the prophet states that it will take seven years to clear away the rubble and burnt out weaponry left behind by the invading armies. Verses 9 and 10 describes the process in these words- "and they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the hand staves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years; so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and rob those that robbed them, says the Lord Jehovah. "This seven-year period dovetails with the seven years biblically allotted to the tribulation, specifically noted in Daniel 9 and revelation 11. No similar seven-year period is mentioned anywhere else in the bible, including following the battle of Armageddon. Armageddon, which many people confuse with the battle of Gog and Magog, is a totally different war. Gog and Magog involve a limited number of nations in a confederacy to invade Israel, and God uses natural forces to destroy these invading armies. But even before the smoke and radiation clears, the world leader the bible calls the Antichrist will step forward to take and rob God of the credit for giving the victory to Israel. Surprisingly, not only will the rest of the world, including Israel, believe the Antichrist's boast and go along with his blatant theft of God's glory, this man of sin will even start believing his own story and self-promoting press‑clippings to see himself as a godlike personality. The European powers, from which the Antichrist comes and gets his power, will unify behind him so that he will be commissioned to step forward and forge a real peace treaty between Israel and her Arab neighbours. Where before, and even today, neither the Palestinians nor the other Arab and Moslem people are serious about resigning themselves to the reality of the Jewish homeland in their midst, in the aftermath of the deadly war and the hundreds of thousands of grieving families throughout their nations, they will at last be ready both emotionally and politically to sit down and sign some kind of interim peace accord with Israel.

The Period of The War of Gog And Magog!

Honestly speaking, there is controversy among scholars concerning the period of the battle of Gog and Magog. Some bible scholars and teachers even mistake this battle with the battle of Armageddon. The question now is- when can we expect this Mideast version of world war (3) to break out? As always, the bible holds the answer. A renowned bible scholar, the late dr. David l. Cooper, wrote knowledgeably about the war of Gog and Magog when he noted- "it is utterly impossible to locate the fulfillment of this prediction after the Millennial age. It cannot be placed at the beginning of the millennium, nor at the end of the tribulation. It must, therefore, be located prior to the tribulation, because there is no other logical place for it to occur since the three other dates are impossible. This war will certainly occur at a time between now and the beginning of the tribulation."

Israel's Humility And God's Exaltation!

Israel’s victory over the Arabs yet again was a reprieve to their existence. However, Israel will suffer losses and consequently be humbled but will not be vanquished. In fact, the losses suffered by Israel’s enemies will be so devastating, perhaps, it may lead to some of these Muslims and pagans to turn to Israel’s God, just as the Psalmist prayed in psalm 83- "those who said, "let us take for ourselves the pastures of God for a possession, O my God, make them like the whirling dust, like the chaff before the wind! As the fire burns the woods, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire, so pursue them with your tempest, and frighten them with your storm. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O Lord. Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish, that they may know that you, whose name alone is the Lord, are the most high over all the earth." The defeat of Israel’s arch-enemy was a confirmation of God’s protective shield over them.

Description of The Battle of Gog And Magog!

As the hordes of invading troops still threaten to overrun Israel, the Israelis will likely opt to exercise their military strategy known as the "Sampson option." This is a contingency plan drafted by Israel after their war of 1973, when a surprise attacked by Arab nations on the Day of Atonement nearly resulted on the unprepared, outnumbered Jews being overrun by much greater Arab armies. So Prime Minister Golda Meier and Her war Ministers, passed a desperate plan ordering that any future Israeli government that sees enemy armies overwhelming their soldiers by sheer numbers, that government must resolve to unleash Israel's considerable arsenal of nuclear weapons against the invading nation's major cities. They called this desperate tactic the "Sampson-option" named after their biblical strongman Sampson. As described in the book of Judges, Sampson was captured and blinded by his Philistine enemies. He was chained to the pillars of the great Philistine temple, and being mocked and tortured by a hostile gathering of notables, Sampson tore down the supporting pillars and caused the roof to crush everyone present, himself along all his enemies. In this case, when Israel is faced with inevitable destruction, they have vowed to use all their nuclear might against their enemies, even if they would be destroyed along with their attackers. The evidence is powerful that nuclear weapons will be unleashed in this bloody Gog and Magog conflict. Besides the fire he promised to rain down on the home country coastlands of the Invading Armies, Ezekiel 39:11-13 tells us this "and it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of them that pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop them that pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it the valley of Hamon-Gog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them renowned in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah." Ezekiel continues to describe the aftermath of this coming war with words that read as if they were taken from a modern manual on how to deal with the lingering radiation of an atomic war. Hear how he portrays this radioactive aftermath in chapter 39, verses 14-16 "and they shall set apart men of continual employment that shall pass through the land and, with them that pass through, those that bury them that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it. After the end of seven months shall they search and they that pass through the land shall pass through; and when any see a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-Gog. And Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land and there will be an incredible number of dead and maimed soldiers, along with civilians left behind as a result of this disastrous war. Two prophecies found in the writings of Isaiah and Jeremiah suggests that Damascus, the Syrian capital, will experience the brunt of the nuclear onslaught. In Isaiah 17:1-2, we find these words- "the burden against Damascus. Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap".

Israel Victory Against Arab Confederacy Foretold!

From our previous studies, we see some of the same nations in Ezekiel 38: Libya, Ethiopia, and Northern people of Gog and Magog. So it is apparent that there has been some sort of mutual defense pact between Israel and the nations behind the Antichrist. However, given the seemingly natural events of warfare, God Himself intervenes on Israel's behalf in a mighty way. Without doubt, God will cause these vastly numerical Arab Armies to turn their weapons against each other. We read about this in Ezekiel 39: 1-6 "and you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, 'thus says the Lord God: "behold, I am against You, o Gog, the prince of Rosh (Russia), Meshech, and Tubal; and I will turn You around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, You and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken, "says the Lord God. And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the Lord". Perhaps, God will cause disagreement among the confederacy, where one ethnic group will turn against others in this alliance- as ancient animosities and rivalries rise to the level of revenge. Israel on her part, faced with such an overwhelming invading force, may well decide with the consent of Antichrist, who already has military presence in the land, to employ battlefield nuclear weapons. These when detonated on a field of battle will heavily radiate all flesh and kill millions within a limited period.

The Battle of Gog And Magog: Israel's Affinity With The Antichrist!

When the invading armies move across Israel's borders "to take a spoil," what will the rest of the world do to stop the slaughter? According to Ezekiel chapter 38:13, they will not even lift a finger beyond shouting empty words. Here is how the prophet describes it- "Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, (representing the new nations) shall say unto thee, art thou come to take the spoil? Hast thou assembled thy company to take the prey? To carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil? No doubt, this spirited outcry will be heard in the debating section of the United Nations General Assembly without effect. But Israel will have one ally- no less than the antichrist! According to Daniel 11, the assault against Israel will be launched by Egypt, known biblically as the "King of the South," against the Antichrist. Let us look at those scriptures in Daniel now- "and the King (Antichrist) shall do according to his will; and He shall exalt Himself, and magnify Himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the god of gods; and he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the gods of his Fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for He shall magnify himself above all. "And at the time of the end shall the King of the South contend with Him; and the King of the North shall come against Him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and He shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass through. He shall enter also into the glorious land (Israel), and many [countries] shall be overthrown; but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon (Jordan). He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries; and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps." Waxing in the euphoria of his victory against these nations, the Antichrist close affinity with the Jews will not last. At the end, He breaks the covenant with the Jews and demands worship from them. Their refusal will lead the Antichrist to oppress and seek to destroy the Jews once and for all.

The War of Gog And Magog: A Confederacy Against Israel!

It is clear from many books of the scriptures especially the Old Testament that, the war of Gog and Magog has been predicted by Prophets of old. One of such book of scripture was Psalm 83. This chapter speaks about the conspiracy against God's covenant people, the Jews, and his nation Israel. Verses 2 to 4 describe this evil plot- "for behold, your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate you have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against your people, and consulted together against your sheltered ones. They have said, "Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more. For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against you" This prophetic psalm was written by Asaph several thousand years ago, but has yet to be fulfilled to this day. Bible scholars tells us there is absolutely no evidence that such a massive regional conspiracy to destroy Israel ever occurred in ancient times. Though Israel's enemies will enjoy massive numerical superiority, the bible clearly tells us that by the power of God, tiny Israel "the apple of his eye" will utterly devastate the invading armies and her allies in this war, a war that historians of the day may likely call world war 3.

The Battle of Gog and Magog (3)

The Bible description of the war of Gog and Magog gives a distinctive insight on the nations that will involve in the battle- this insight has a historical view. Proponents of this view based their findings on the fact that, the nations mentioned in previous studies have old ancient names during Bible days. Presently, these nations bear new names which was listed in the last study already. However, some scholars still believe that the references to "Rosh, Meshech and Tubal" in Ezekiel 38 refers to Russia, Moscow and Tobolsk, two of Russia's major cities. Respected sources like Dwight Pentecost and John Walvoord believe that Russia will lead this invasion of Moslem nations. There is a certain degree of geo-political logic to bolster their view. Russia has for many years coveted a warm water port in the Middle East, and if she can take over the oil wells of the Arabian Peninsula, at one stroke the bear can regain her status as a world superpower to which the western world must plead on bended knees for the energy needs so vital to modern industrialized economies. But there is contrary evidence that limits the invading nations to a strictly Moslem confederacy. Research has found that in bible times, the terms "Rosh, Meshech and Tubal" described tribes that occupied the land mass just north of the Caucusus mountain range. Also, the Schaff-Herzog encyclopedia of religious knowledge, citing ancient Assyrian writings, places the location of Magog in the land mass between ancient Armenia and Media- in short, the republics south of Russia and north of Israel, which comprised of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Turkestan, Chechnya, Turkey, Iran and Dagestan- significantly all of them Moslem nations. Whether or not Russian troops will be taking part in this invasion, one thing is very clear. Russian weapons and advisers will certainly be involved, since Russia is heavily committed to arming and training the armed forces of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia and Libya.

The Battle of Gog And Magog (2)

It is apparent to know that most of Bible many prophecies have already been fulfilled. These prophecies are in confirmation of the many dispersions and early gatherings of Israel back into their promised land; the many details of the Messiah's first appearance as the lamb of God; the destruction of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem; the almost 2000 years scattering of the Jews to all parts of the world, and finally, their coming back in the 19th and 20th century climaxed by the nation's resurrection as modern Israel in 1948- these are all undisputable facts of the historical records. But there are two prophecies of major importance to these last days that still have yet to happen. I speak now of the two great major wars that will serve to glorify God; the two wars the Bible tells us will precede the return of Jesus Christ to planet earth when he will set up his 1,000-year rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. One of these wars has been written about so much and so often, and has been the focus of so many books and motion pictures, which has made it become a universal symbol of mass destruction and catastrophe. Its name is Armageddon and it will involve hundreds of millions of soldiers who will come into the Middle East to destroy Israel at the end of the great tribulation period. But the second of these two wars has received much less attention. Yet, in its own way, it is almost as decisive in the scenario of these last days as its better known counterpart. The bible calls this war the "battle of Gog and Magog," Using the names given in Ezekiel 38 v 1-9 of the nations that will involve in this battle, they include: Russia (Gog), Iran, Libya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Turkey and the Moslem republics known as Magog. These will form a confederation to invade Israel and the Middle East, for the specific purpose of conquering the Jews and destroying their country. Theirs will be a religious crusade, what in Islam is called Jihad, with the sole motive of proving that the prophet Mohammed and his god Allah are superior to Moses and his God Jehovah.

The Battle of Gog And Magog!

Ezekiel prophecy gave a distinct description of the battle of Gog and Magog- a battle that was originally aimed at the total and complete destruction and annihilation of the Jewish nation and state; but turned out to be God proven ground for the Jewish people. Israel during this period, will be surrounded by Russia and his allied in an attempt to seize their sovereignty and to capture Jerusalem. However, God immediate intervention delivered and saved them just like He did during the six day war between Israel and the Arabs in 1967. As Ezekiel proclaimed that the allied soldiers carcases and their chariots are scattered all over the mountains of Israel. Without doubt, the defeat of Russia and its allied proves that the Almighty God rules in the affairs of men.

Disparity Between The Rapture And Christ Second Coming!

Many Christians and Bible readers don't really know the difference between the “rapture of the Church” and “Christ second coming”. They actually see these events as the same, but on the contrary, they are actually different. Some of the differences between these events are highlighted below: • The rapture was a mystery hidden from the foundation of the world; the second coming was not hidden but revealed to the prophets of old. • The rapture will occur before the great tribulation, while the second coming occurs after the great tribulation. • During the rapture, the dead in Christ and those alive in Christ, will be taken to heaven for the lamb marriage supper, on the other hand, the second coming sees the resurrection of the dead to shame and everlasting contempt. • During the rapture, Christ is seen by the raptured saints only, while during the second coming, Christ appears literally in the sky and is seen by the entire world. • The rapture marks the end of the Church and Gentiles age, while in the second coming God resumes his plan for the Jews.

The Second Coming of Christ!

The coming of Jesus marks the end for the Anti-Christ, the Beast and his false prophets. Jesus will appear immediately after the great tribulation, to save Israel and to deliver the tribulation saints. His eventual return marks the end of a long wait which has spanned over two millennia. Besides, His coming will be glorious to many, but to others- everlasting shame and contempt. Jesus appearance has been predicted by the prophets of old: Enoch, Moses, Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Paul, John etc. After the Anti-Christ has been destroyed, Jesus sets up a millennial kingdom that will last for one thousand years, while the raptured saints become rulers and governors with Him. Israel under Christ Kingdom will do valiantly and prosper.

Signs of His Coming!

The coming of Jesus Christ is known by many as “the second coming”. In fact, the popular view is that, Jesus is coming back to judge the earth and to save the Jews from their hostile neighbours- the Arabians. His coming according to bible prophecy will occur after Israel is given international sovereignty and the subsequent threat of it by her neighbours; then will the Messiah come. On the hand, there are conflicting teachings concerning His second coming, though, our focus is to highlight the signs of the coming of Jesus Christ but not to dwell on this conflicts. Then, what are the signs of his coming especially as we approach the end of the six millennium. Without doubt, the rapture will take place before the great-tribulation and the second coming. Suffice to say that, between the rapture and the second coming, there is a seven year gap and period popularly described as the “great-tribulation”. However, before the coming of Jesus Christ, some prophets of old both in the old and new testament gave some signs. Some of these signs are: • Increase in knowledge- Daniel 12 v 4 • Discovery of vehicles and automobiles- Nahum 2 v 3-4 • Destruction of Jerusalem- Matthew 24 v 2; Deuteronomy 4 v 27-28 • Coming back of the Jews- Isaiah 10 v 20; Genesis 48 v 21 • Restoration of the Jewish State- Luke 21 v 24 • Outbreak of famine and diseases- Matthew 24 v 7 • Wars against nations and kingdoms- Matthew 24 v 6 • The Jews defeats his enemies- Genesis 49 v 8; Numbers 24 v 17 These signs are strong indications that the coming of Christ is near.

The Nature of the Anti-Christ!

The Antichrist! - Also described in the Bible as the "son of perdition" & the "beast". Like Hitler, who was one of history's antichrist archetypes, he will have great charisma & speaking ability, "a mouth speaking great things". The Antichrist will rise to power on a wave of world euphoria, as he temporarily saves the world from its desperate economic, military & political problems with a brilliant 7-year plan for world peace, economic stability & religious freedom. The prophet Ezekiel names him as the ruler of "Magog", a name that Biblical scholars agree denotes a country or region of peoples to the north of Israel. Many have interpreted this to mean modern day Russia. His power base will include the leading nations of Europe, whose leaders, the Bible says, will "give their power & strength unto the beast." The Bible even gives some clues about his personal characteristics. The prophet Daniel wrote that the Antichrist "does not regard the desire of women." This could imply that he is either celibate or a homosexual. Daniel also tells us that he will have a "fierce countenance" or stern look, and will be "more stout than his fellows"-more proud and boastful. The 7-year peace-pact (or covenant) that is engineered by the Antichrist is spoken of a number of times in the Bible. Under the terms of the Covenant, Jerusalem will likely be declared an international city to which Judaism, Islam & Christianity will have equal rights. Scripture indicates that the Jews will be permitted to rebuild their Temple on Mt. Moriah, where they revive their ancient rituals of animal sacrifice. The Anti-Christ seeks to establish his throne in Jerusalem and desire worship from the Jewish people and the entire world. According to prophecy, the Antichrist will not only be a master of political intrigue, but also a military genius. Daniel describes several major wars that he fights during his 7-year reign, apparently against the U.S. & Israel, who will oppose him during the second half of his reign. For a while, most of the world is going to think the Antichrist is wonderful, as he will seem to have solved so many of the world's problems. But, three-and-a-half years into his seven year reign he will break the covenant & invade Israel from the North. At this time he will make Jerusalem his world capital & outlaw all religions, except the worship of himself & his image. The Bible says that the Antichrist will sit in the Jewish Temple exalting himself as God & demanding to be worshipped. It is at this time that the Antichrist imposes his infamous "666" one-world economic system.

The Coming Antichrist!

World peace will be threatened towards the end of the Church age. The coming Anti-Christ will surface and promise the world peace and prosperity but at the end, the world is thrown into turmoil, tribulation and persecution. During this period, the mode of His operation will cause death, suffering and hardship. This personality is described as the ANTI-CHRIST: "the beast", "the little horn", "the king with fierce countenance", "the lamb like beast", "the man of sin", "the prince that shall come" and "the son of perdition". The Anti-Christ is a world figure that will emerge after the rapture of the Church. He harnessed political, religious and economic power through craft and intelligence. He appears like a LAMB but inwardly He is ravenous and heartless! He unleashes a period of untold suffering to the entire earth- the earth mourns because of the torture and evil of the Anti-Christ. His era is described by Jesus Christ as the “great tribulation”.

The Great Tribulation!

It is no news that persecution has always been in Church history and among the Jewish people. Beside, persecution occurs in our everyday life and endeavors; the life of a man is full of adversities and troubles. People, race, group and even smaller countries face persecution from dominating countries, and at such, their persecution could arise as a result of different reasons. These reasons are not farfetched, they are mostly: religion, race and beliefs. Contrary to this normal understanding of persecution, the Bible prophesy a tensed period of persecution, suffering and wickedness the world has never seen. This persecution will only affect the minority few (Christians and Jews) because of the common religious beliefs they share at that time. This period is described by Jesus as the “great-tribulation”- a tensed period of three and half years of suffering, persecution and killings of Christians and Jews that will reject the Anti-Christ and His economic and religious system. This period is so tensed that the Prophets of old made mention of it in their writings. The most prominent of these prophets are: Noah, Moses, Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and Zachariah all spoke about it. In fact, it is described as the time of Jacobs’s trouble (Jeremiah 30 v 5-7) and Jesus gave a vivid and a chilling picture on the events of the great-tribulation in Matthew 24. More so, Moses described it as the time of Israel’s tribulation (Deuteronomy 4 v 30) and the period it will occur- the latter days of Israel nationhood. Before all this occur, the Anti- Christ comes into the picture to promise the entire world peace and signs a seven years peace treaty with the Jews. He breaks the agreement reached between Israel and the Arab nations (Daniel 9 v 27). The Jews is frustrated and rebelled against the Anti- Christ. He unleashes terror and persecution against the Jews and the Christians. Soon after, He declares Himself as God and demanded to be worshipped by the world. His actions will bring a period of terror, anguish and war upon the face of the entire world. Millions will die!

Christ Resurrection and The Rapture of The Saints!

The resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the most disputed fact among Jews and non-Christians worldwide. To many people and religion, Christ never died at all. This dispute sends chills to the minds of believers because history and biblical records states otherwise- that Jesus died and resurrected after the third day. During the Ministry of Jesus Christ, He told His disciples repeatedly about his death on the cross (Mark 9 v 31) and His resurrection with the Saints (John 5 v 28-29). Christ resurrection triggered the resurrection of the dead Saints as many dead bodies were seen in the streets of Jerusalem (Matthew 27 v 51-53) and more so, open graves. This event is known today as the first resurrection as prophecy by David in the Psalms (Psalms 17 v 15) and Job (Job 19 v 25-29). It was apparent on the reasons many Patriarch e.g. Joseph, wanted their dead bodies moved back to Israel because they wanted to see the Messiah. On this note, it will be important to simply state that the nature of the Saints resurrection and their subsequent assumption can be likened to our present day teaching on the rapture of the Church. In the rapture, only the true believers dead and alive in Christ will be taken alive to Heaven after hearing the trumpet sound and the voice of Jesus Christ just like the first resurrection. This simply means; the first resurrection manifested on the physical body and flesh while the second resurrection (rapture) will manifest in the celestial body (the transformed man).

Nature of the Rapture!

The most anticipated event in the history of the Church and among Christians is the Rapture of the Church: An event that is set by God to change the course of history for mankind. According to the Bible, the Rapture is the catching away of all true Christian believers to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air. It is an unprecedented event that will defy human logic, philosophy, understanding and science. This defiance will affect the nature of science itself because man physical body will change and be transformed to a celestial body that will stay afloat in the cloud in order to meet the Lord in the air. How true is the Rapture and has it ever occur before? Or is there evidence that it can even happen at all. Off course, the rapture is definitely true because Bible records confirmed it. The first recorded incidence of the Rapture was Enoch- He lived seven generations from Adam. Similarly, Elijah was also physical taken up to Heaven in a chariot of fire. More so, Jesus Christ was taken to heaven; his assumption was witnessed by all his Apostles and Disciples. From these instances, it is necessary to state that the Rapture is real and is much to be desired- for the Bible describes it as GLORIOUS! The Rapture will be triggered with the trump of God from Heaven, and its sound will be heard by only true Christians and believers. It will happen unexpectedly, and it will throw the whole world into chaos and confusion because millions of people will seemingly disappear from the face of the earth. To the believers, the Rapture is victory because death is swallowed up in victory; to the unbelievers it is regret and disappointment!

The Rapture of The Church!

Gods’ revelation to the early Church concerning the rapture was revealing especially to the early Christians. To them, it was a mystery that has been hidden from the foundation of the earth but revealed in their time. The Old Testament was completely silent concerning the rapture of the Church: may be because the rapture concerns the Church age which was also a mystery that was only revealed by Christ and the Apostles. The first mention of the rapture was by Jesus in John 14 v 1-3. In these verses, Christ talks about His return to take the saints both living and dead to Heaven. More so, Apostle Paul gave a chilling insight and description of the rapture in I Corinthians 15 v 51-52 and I Thessalonians 4 v 15-17. These verses describe the rapture as a mystery kept for the purpose of comforting the saints and the believers in their service to God. More importantly, the rapture is the end of the Church age and it will usher the world into deception, lies, wickedness, cruelty and lawlessness which will be engineered by the devil himself and put into work by the man of sin (Antichrist). Be prepared because the rapture can take place at any moment!

Restoration of Israel: 1948!

The children of Israel have passed through afflictions and troubles in time past. These afflictions were a result of their sins and disobedience to God. Some of their captors include Egypt, Assyria and Roman Empire. However, the Roman occupation and captivity and the subsequent destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD was remarkable. It was remarkable because it will lead to the rebirth of the new Jewish nation and the resumption of Gods timetable plan for Israel. More so, it was remarkable because Moses, Jeremiah and Jesus Christ spoke about it in Deuteronomy 4 v 27-30, Jeremiah 16 v 14-16; 30 v 3-4, and Luke 21 v 24. These verses gave an insight of Israel’s captivity to foreign land and her eventual return on May 14, 1948.

Christ Coming Foretold!

The first coming of the Messiah remains one of the most anticipated events in Jewish history. In fact, the Jews for a long time have waited for Christ coming. To the Jews, they expect a King full of grandeur- the one who will deliver them from their enemies and set up a kingdom that shall never be changed or end. Unfortunately, when He was born, the Jews were never prepared and only had a manger for Him. Why were the Jews not prepared to receive someone they had waited for almost three thousand years? Or was signs not given in scriptures that provided a clue for his first coming? Absolutely No! The scriptures provided clues that were overlooked by the Jews consequently making His birth unknown to them. Ironically, the Jews are still expecting His first coming. For record sake and in line with scriptural truth, the following basic signs were provided in scriptures. That the Messiah will be a product of a woman alone- Genesis 3 v 5; that the Messiah shall rise out of Judah- Numbers 24 v 17; that He shall be born of a virgin- Isaiah 7 v 14; that the Messiah shall be anointed in 27AD according to Daniel 9 v 25 and that the Messiah shall be born in Bethlehem of Judah- Micah 5 v 2. In summary, Christ eventually came as the seed of a woman; He was the star that the three wise men saw in Bethlehem, a town in Judah; He was born of a virgin; He was anointed in 27AD and He was born in a remote town in Bethlehem. This shows that the scripture was actually fulfilled in each of these cases.

Is September 11, 3BC Christ Actual Birthday?

There is no doubt in our mind that September 11, 3BC is the actual birthday of Jesus Christ taking into consideration the gospel according to Luke. This date came to be after historians and theologians embark on an insight study into the scriptures and also considered historical facts and records. More so, scientific base angle was brought upon to support this date. Though, these theologians and historians got most of their facts from the Bible especially the gospel according to Saint Luke. Yet, we cannot deny the fact that this date cannot be disapproved because great men of God such as Balaam, Daniel and Micah have predicted the sign, the year and place of his birth. It was the records they gave that led the three wise men to Jesus in Bethlehem.

The Actual Birth Date of Jesus Christ (5)

There is no doubt in our mind that the world has accepted the December 25th date as the birth date of Jesus. Come to think of it, if Christ first coming was to determine His second coming, what would have become of Christians who are careless in their service to God? Inadvertently, it would have been simple to say that the world would have falling into the greatest deception ever. Meanwhile, the true feast that really acknowledges the birth of Jesus has been overturned for another recognized celebration in the Roman Catholic calendar- Mary birth date which is celebrated on September 8 according to the catholic teaching. Though, this date was initially meant to celebrate the birth of Jesus by the Virgin Mary. Nevertheless, there is still widespread belief among non-Catholics that this is the day Jesus was conceived- a possible lingering remembrance of the original meaning of this date. We can also tell from Luke's Gospel that Jesus had been born in early evening, for Luke says the shepherds were keeping watch by night, but still had time to go into town and tell the people what they had seen earlier that evening. People rose early with the sun in those days, and would have been asleep by 9 or 10 pm. Therefore, the birth had taken place no later than 8 pm, and probably before 7 pm. Yet Luke says it happened at night, which means after sunset- surely after 6 pm on September. Hence, it follows that Jesus was born within a few minutes of 6:30-7:30 pm on the evening of September 11th, 3 BC. A confirmation of this time is in the book of Revelation. Historian Ernest L. Martin consulted NASA lunar-phase tables and found the image of the heavens in Revelation 12 showed where the sun and the moon were, relative to Virgo, at the time Jesus was born, pin-pointing sunset of September 11th of 3 BC. It seems the moon moves so quickly, it is "beneath the feet" of Virgo only a few hours every month. Moreover, the moon comes within two lunar diameters of Virgo's feet at the time of a new moon but once in 30 years. The only such occurrence any time near the birth of Jesus was on September 11th, 3 BC. Most previous attempts at determining the birth time was based upon astrology and dating the Star of Bethlehem. No one considered 3 BC because that year had erroneously been assumed to follow Herod's death. However, Dr. Martin has proven that Herod did not die in 4 BC, but in 1 BC. Scholars are now generally accepting the new chronology for Herod, and this in turn has allowed the confirmation of the New Testament date for the birth of Jesus. Unfortunately, many churches continue to promote the critics' errors and paganized traditions about the Nativity of Christ.

The Actual Birth Day of Jesus Christ (4): The Roman Conspiracy!

It is no more news that no one seems to know how Rome came to honor September 8th as the birthday of Mary. There is no Biblical, historical, or church tradition to explain it. It just emerges out of nowhere. Rome keeps the 8th of December as the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (i.e. conceived without original sin). It is a holy day of obligation for all Catholics to attend Mass. This feast is clearly based upon September 8th also, and mortal sin is attached to the failure of a Catholic to observe it, yet the origins of these dates are unknown. On the other hand, we can now see that if Jesus was born on September 11th as Luke indicates, then Jesus would have been conceived around December 8th in 4 BC. The now mysterious Mary dates fit Jesus quite well. How might this have happened? In the late 4th century, in early 380 AD, Pope Damasus I was endeavoring to force all Christians in the Roman Empire to yield to his authority. He got the Emperor to issue an edict requiring them to practice the religion of Rome. We know that it is about this time the Christmas midnight Mass was first celebrated and December 25th first identified as a Catholic holy day. It is said Damasus was seeking to lure the people away from pagan rites honoring the birth of the sun god at midnight by compelling Catholic attendance at a memorial in honor of Christ's death, i.e. the Mass. The people confused this Mass with the pagan solar birth rituals conducted at that same time. Gradually, the Christ-Mass became associated with the Nativity and has made people worldwide to believe that Christ was actually born December 25.

The Actual Birth Date of Jesus Christ (3)

Biblical records and history shows that Luke includes three statements identifying the period of the nativity. So what period and day was this, Yom Kippur known as the Day of Atonement and also the 10th day of the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. In Luke's time, Yom Kippur was called three things: The day of the "Fast," “the day of the Purification”, “and the day of Redemption”. Luke uses all three to identify the day Jesus was brought to the Temple. And he even quotes the Torah rule that mandates the 40-days period for the mother to wait after the child's birth [Luke 2:22-38]. And if there were any doubt that it was Yom Kippur, Luke tells of a woman named Anna who had been in the Temple for a "night and day" without leaving. There was ONLY ONE DAY A YEAR when a person could pray overnight in the Temple: Yom Kippur. All other days, the Temple was locked at sundown. This shows the 40th day of Mary's Purification had begun at the end of Yom Kippur, the end of the 10th day of the 7th month, because we know the Purification was done at the earliest opportunity- at the beginning of the 40th day after birth. And since the 6th month normally had only 29 days, simple arithmetic shows Mary's 39 days of Purification had to have begun around sundown on the 1st day of the 6th month, called Elul. This was the night of the first sighting of the new moon of Elul. The Magi in Babylon were recording this sunset sliver of the new moon on a clay tablet. The cuneiform tablet the Magi made at that hour 2000 years ago, along with thousands of others from Babylon, resides in the British Museum. It is possible that this clay tablet was inscribed by one of the famous Magi who later brought a strange set of gifts to Bethlehem. So the new moon seen by the Magi in Babylon at the very moment of Jesus being born is recorded on one of the tablets now in London. Cuneiform scholars have identified the date on this tablet as equivalent to September, 11, 3 BC. The Hebrew lunar calendar dates vary with respect to our solar calendar. So the 1st of Elul was September 11th in 3 BC, but began on August 22 in 1998. The same was true in the days of the early church, of course in a given year; the 1st of Elul could have fallen on September 8th. This discovery may have helped to solve another ancient mystery that is unknown to man.

The Actual Birth Date of Jesus Christ (2)

The research that lead Christian scholars and Theologians to arrive at the actual birth date of Jesus Christ started in the 19th century when critical scholars made a crucial decision to reject a total lunar eclipse in January 1 BC and to accept instead, one in March 4 BC, as the chronological cornerstone for dating the death of Herod the Great, and thereby the possible birth years for Jesus. By so doing, the critics could argue Jesus had to be born before 4 BC, contradicting Luke, who tied Jesus' 30th year to the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar, 27-28 AD. Luke effectively placed the birth in 3 BC, as did many of the early church fathers. Ironically, even the date used by the Pope during the Christmas Eve midnight mass ritual is itself consistent with the last half of 3 BC. The dirty little secret is that virtually all the available evidence has always pointed at the harvest period of 3 BC as the focal point of the nativity including the possibility of a late summer birth. By rejecting Luke, scholars also threw out the date of birth Luke gives in his Gospel. In his second chapter, Luke tells what happened the day Mary came to the Temple for purification 40 days after the birth of Jesus. All one has to know is what day this was. And Luke plainly name the day. Therefore, does Luke record really ascertained the fact that Jesus was actually born the day his writing claimed, or was there a mistake on his account of the gospel according to Luke.

The Actually Birth Date of Jesus Christ!

The world was transfixed by the year 2000; but only few actually realized that the true 2000th lunar anniversary of the birth of Jesus was August 22, 1998, or on September 11, 1998 by the solar calendar date we now use. Many may live to see the consequences of the anniversary, if it foreshadowed a coming false Christ. Or at the least, there were dozens of lunatics eager to take advantage of the year 2000 hysteria to get the attention of the gullible. Yet, the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity actually came 475 days before year 2000 began. The correct anniversary date was about sundown, Jerusalem time, the end of the Sabbath, Saturday August 22, 1998. How can we know the exact day and nearly the hour of the birth of Jesus? A simple arithmetic a child could have done, if only the basic assumptions given in the bible had been followed.

Christ Is born!

"A virgin shall conceive and give birth to a child and you shall call him Emmanuel, meaning God is with us" This was the prophecy given by Isaiah the prophet about 700 years before Christ was born. This statement was again re-echoed to Joseph, the step father of Jesus Christ by Angel Gabriel. Though, the bible teaches that Jesus birth was celebrated by the Angels in heaven and that He came to die for the sins of the whole world in order to bring redemption to mankind: And that his birth was prophesied by all the old testament prophets, and the most fascinating prophecy of Jesus first coming was given by Daniel the Prophet; this prophesy was significant because Jesus birth date was actually given to the Jews who had earnestly asked for their coming Messiah. Unfortunate, when Jesus eventually came, the Jews were not prepared for it and they were actually ignorant of it. Despite their ignorance, three men (three wise-men) stood out and were able to study the scriptures and came all the way to Bethlehem to see their KING!

Israel: The Barren Land!

In the fulness of time, God gave his Son to die for the sins of mankind. Jesus has been born in Bethlehem, in the royal family of King David according to scriptures. But the birth of Christ has been anticipated for about 4000 years, and all Israelite had lost hope about their coming Messiah. However, before the birth of Christ, the land of Israel was without a prophet for many years according to the word of the lord. The Almighty God had a controversy with the people of Israel because of their neglect of his words and the killing of his prophets. Also, the Lord was angry because the Israelite were disobedient to Him. They had sold themselves to lies, deceit and idolatry; and their punishment and judgement was the absence of Gods words to them for many years. This period lasted for about 400 years until John the baptist showed up in the desert: creating the part way for Jesus Christ to appear on the scene few months later.

Daniel 70th Week Prophecy Explained!

The 70th week is the last week of the 70 weeks prophecy God gave to Daniel. This week has a 7 years timeline and begins immediately after the rapture of the church. It is a period of terror of the man of sin as He terrorise the entire human race using craft and deception. Daniel state "He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice to cease and for the overspreading He shall make it desolate" This scripture gave just a little insight into the activities of the Antichrist. The Antichrist will surface immediately after the rapture. The rapture throws the world into chaos and confusion, and the Antichrist assume the thrown as the world leader, a peace maker and a problem solver. He deceives the people in believing that the Christians are the trouble makers who never want the world to unite under one world government and religion. In fact, revelation describes this as the "big lie". The Antichrist initially will gain Israel's trust by helping them from the troubles of the Arab nations and the Russians and Chinese (Gog and Magog) by defeating their pact of confederacy. In doing this, there is a 7 years period of peace treaty signed by Israel and the Arab nations and the Antichrist as the mediator. After three and a half years of this signing, during the tribulation, He decides to come over to Jerusalem and set his capital because He believes He is from Kind David lineage. The Antichrist because of his royalty status decides to make the temple his palace therefore desecrating the altar that is meant only for the high priest, consequently leading to the rebellion from the Jews. This desecration is what the Bible describes as the "abomination that makes desolate." The remaining three and a half years sees the Jews and the Christians been terrorised and killed. In fact, the Jews and the Christians will be called TERRORIST. After the three and a half years of the great tribulation, the Jews become tired because sixty-six (66.6) percent of them would have been killed already as spoken by Zachariah the prophet. The remaining thirty-three (33.33) percent are forced to call for their Messiah. Jesus himself described this as "They shall look upon whom they have pierced". "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the moon and the sun shall not give its light and the power of the heavens shall be shaken and the son of man shall appear in the sky," "and the LORD shall destroy the Antichrist with the brightness of his coming" this were the words of Jesus Christ describing his coming and the subsequent defeat of the Antichrist. The Bible also state that His feet shall stand on mount Olives. Jesus then takes a short walk through the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem. This gate has been closed awaiting the arrival of the Prince of Peace, the Jewish Messiah!

Daniel 70-weeks Prophecy Explained!

Daniel 70 weeks prophecy remains one of the most fascinating prophecy in scriptures. Many theologians and historians have tried in their effort to reconcile the date given by Daniel and the year Christ was actually born. Some in their effort have misinterpreted the whole chapter out of context. But the question is, can mere human effort be used to interpret these verses? The answer is indeed No! The only way to really interpret is to consider what the scriptures says- because the scriptures cannot be broken. According to scriptures, 70 weeks was given by Daniel for the entire prophecy to be fulfilled. This prophecy starts counting when the decree to restore and to build Jerusalem was given by Antaxerxes to Ezra in 457 BC and ends when Christ the anointed becomes King. Though previous decree was given by Cyrus (536 BC) and Darius (519 BC), these two decrees saw the movement of the Jews back to Jerusalem. During this period, the Jews were not fully independent considering the hostility of the nations that occupied Jerusalem then and the absence of temple worship. Therefore, the counting starts when Jerusalem became an independent state; the streets and walls built again and temple worship restored, all this was possible in 457 BC. The 69 weeks starts counting from 457 BC to the anointing of the Messiah by John the baptist in 27 AD making it a period of 483 years according to scriptures. It should be noted that a week in Jewish calendar is 7 years period; Which means that 69 weeks equals to (69 x 7 years) 483 years. The second part of the 70 weeks is 62 weeks which happens to be the end of the 69 weeks. During this period, the Messiah was crucified on the cross for the sins of the world. Presently, the world is in the period between the 69 and 70 weeks normally called the "church age" "the Gentiles period" or "grace period". The last one week begins immediately after the rapture of the Church. This one week is divided into two parts of three and a half years each of tribulation and great tribulation respectively.

Assurance of Daniel 70-weeks Prophecy!

The bible has been tried 7 times in fire and has been confirmed as Gods word- it is the infallible word of God that cannot lie and change. In fact, the Lord states 'I am God and I change not' .Scriptural truth has shown that God words are unchanging as Himself. God has described the events of the last days in the book of Daniel: Therefore, it leaves no doubts in our minds according to history that 90 percent of these words was fulfilled some 3000 years ago. However, the basis of this study is based on Daniel chapter 9 v 25-26a because of its significance to the Israeli nation and the church age. For emphasis sake, lets look at these chapters: 'Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end to sins and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the prince shall be seven weeks and three score and two weeks (69 weeks): the street shall be built again and the wall even in troublous times. And after three score and two weeks (end of 69 weeks) shall the Messiah be cut off but not for himself' These few verses will form the basis of our discussions in our next study.

Daniel 70-weeks Prophecy (2)

The 70-weeks prophecy God gave Daniel remains the most intriguing of all biblical chapters in the entire scriptures. Theologians and historians are still amazed at the accuracy of this scripture especially as 90 percent of it has already been fulfilled to the letter, therefore leaving no room for doubts. The purpose of this scripture was to inform the people of their coming King because they have asked for a sign. This scripture was also given to prepare the Jewish nation for the coming Messiah and the great event that was to take place hitherto. To the Jews, the prophecy was freedom from captivity and a defeat to their enemies, though, the prophets had predicted this period as freedom and an end to their captivity in Babylon. On the other hand, God was revealing His plan for their coming Messiah, his death on the cross and his second coming. A time lag of 70-weeks is encapsulated in this prophecy, each of the week means 7 years according to Jewish calendar. This 70-weeks is explained under 69 weeks, 62 weeks and 1 week. It should be noted also that, these weeks are inclusive in the original 70 weeks and marks a significant event and history in the entire church age and mankind history.

Daniel 70-weeks Prophecy!

The 70 weeks prophecy God gave Daniel came at a time the Jews were in distress. The prophecy revealed God's mind towards them now and in the future. The prophecy was a combination of great events which will begin with the commandment to return to their land, and the enthronement of the Messiah as the King of the earth. Encapsulated in this prophecy is the birth of Christ and his death on the cross; the coming Antichrist and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The Babylonian Captivity!

It was certain that Judah will be taken into captive to the land of Babylon for 70 years as prophecy by the prophets because of their sins and rebellion against God. However, what was not certain was when will this occur? Babylon has always been there for many years, but Nebuchadnezzer never thought of taken Judah into captivity until they sin. It was their sin that brought God's judgement upon them. Judah's 70 years captivity was a turning point in their lives. Although, this captivity brought joy and gladness to an entire nation, to them God has kept his promise and covenant he made with them. More so, it was also symbolic to the entire human race because it span through the period in which Christ will be enthroned as king of the earth after the great tribulation.

Israel's Captivity!

The Jews were warned by God about a coming captivity. Israel and Judah had sinned and God had prophecy about a coming captivity and even their captors. He told them that it was His judgement and punishment for their rebellion and sin. In fact, God even described the nature and brutality of their captivity and the period at which this event will take place. In one of those instance in scriptures, He described Judah's captor, Babylon, "as a lion that has come out of its thicket". Meanwhile, Israel had been taken into captivity for more than 100years by the Assyrian army before Judah's captivity. This two event marked the end of Israel and Judah period as kingdom. Henceforth, Israel and Judah became prisoners, moving from one transition of captivity to another until Christ was born in a small city called Bethlehem.

Israel's Pre-captivity Era!

After the division of Israel, the two nations still maintained their bond of friendship and brotherhood. Yet, this was often compromised by the failure to recognize God as the creator and the Supreme Being and their urge for idolatry. Israel was yet to decide who to worship because Jeroboam had already introduced them to idolatry. Therefore, God sent his prophet to preach against it and to call them back to Himself. Prominent of these prophets were Elijah and Elisha. On the other hand, Judah was repenting but each time they backslide back to idolatry whenever a new king is enthroned. This was never the plan of the almighty God for Israel as a united kingdom. The judgement of God was imminent and the warning came through the mouth of the prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel.

Israel's Kingship!

The Israelite has always been in controversy with God right from the time God chose them as a nation. From time immemorial, God has always called them to true worship. His worship was supposed to be a relationship between Himself (God) as the ultimate King, and Israel the ultimate-son. The Lord wanted to provide them a king in the future (Jesus Christ) after his own heart, unfortunately, they could not wait. The Israelite asked for a King because they wanted to be like other gentile nations and God was not happy about it. He gave them a king whom He later regret of making king. However, after the reign of Saul, He made David king after his own heart. David became king and a symbol of Jesus Christ, the King of kings.

The Judges!

The Israelite had return back to their land according to the words of Joseph. Their return was in confirmation with the word of the Lord in the old testament books of Exodus, Deuteronomy and Numbers. Their coming back to their land marked the end of an era and the beginning of a promised future. Which means, they were eager and desperate to forget their terrible ordeal in Egypt and also, to await their promised Messiah. Though they knew they had to wait till their Messiah comes, therefore the Lord provided them a Judge. This Judge was to be the head of the entire tribes and to move the nation forward in justice, equality, righteousness and godliness. The Israelite Judge was symbolic: pointing to the Messiah as the real judge over all sinners and sinful nations in His second coming; and as the judge in the millennial reign and also the final judge in the judgement seat of Christ (Great White Thrown Judgement).

Exodus: The Israelite Experience!

The Israelite spent 40years in the wilderness on their way to the promise land, Canaan. During this period, God was revealing himself to them and was testing their faith. On the contrary, the Israelite rebelled against their leader and failed to live up to the expectation of God; consequently invoking Gods anger upon them. The anger of God upon them was responsible for their wandering in the wilderness for 40years, subsequently leading to the death of all Israelite that murmured against God.

The Exodus!

The Israelite through Moses and Aaron, had engaged in open confrontation with the Egyptian Pharoah over the release of the Jews to serve their God in the land of promise (Israel). Pharoah had no choice but to give in due to the plagues and diseases the Lord has sent as a result of his refusal. The Israelite was now left with their journey to Canaan. Their greatest concern became the red sea and the coming Egyptian army led by Pharoah himself. In a dramatic twist, God intervened and they CROSSED their greatest Pharaoh. After crossing the red sea, they spent forty years in the wilderness until all the rebellious Jews died in the desert. Though, only Joshua and Caleb were worthy enough to survive among the adults, this single event shows that God is no respecter of person; because his judgement was served to the rebellious and unrepentant Jews.

God Judged the Egyptians!

In a dramatic twist, God's judgement came upon the Egyptians. His judgement was swift and necessary because He wanted to show the Egyptians that He is the only true God. His judgement came upon them because of their years of wickedness and evil to the Jews. Nevertheless, the Egyptian was still unrepentant and stubborn until his last judgement came upon them- the killing of all the first born in the land of Egypt.

The Call of Moses!

The Lord through the mouth of Joseph had predict the day of visitation for the children of Israel. It was this prophecy that culminate in the call of Moses by God. Moses and his brother, Aaron, was sent to confront a Pharoah who never knew Joseph but was out to enslave the Jews. Though He rejected their proposal of letting Israel go, however, after many miracles and the omnipotence of Jehovah God, Israel was allowed to leave Egypt for Pharoah gave heed to their demands and allowed the Jews to go. For the Lord smite the Egyptians with various plagues and diseases before Pharaoh could accept.

Jacob Goes to Egypt!

Jacob sons had travelled to Egypt in search of food. Their decision was prompted by the famine in Israel. However, as fate will do it, they met Joseph their brother: the one they sold to the Amalekites some years back. This time as a king not as a slave- He was the seating prime minister of the great Egyptian empire. Through Joseph request they all came to Egypt until the famine was over. History records shows that the Israelites spent over 400 years in their new found homeland, Goshen.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel (2)

The almighty God called Abraham from the land of his fathers and promised to make him the father of many nations. After many years of this promise, Abraham had not conceived from his wife Sarah. Although, Abraham still had faith and believed God, however, his wife was impatient and compromised: he made Abraham to bore Ismael through her maid, Hagar. The consequence of this action has made the entire world to lost peace in the middle-east. "In Isaac shall thy seed be" these were the words of the almighty God (the Ancient of days) to Abraham. He was re-affirming his promise to Abraham that Isaac was the choosing one. After few years, Isaac was eventually born; Isaac got married to Rachel and conceived Jacob and Esau. It was Jacobs’s twelve sons that gave birth to the nation Israel. The twelve sons are the twelve tribes in which every Jews associate till this day.

Abraham was called by God to establish a great nation; a nation that will fear, respect and honour Him. He was called out from his idolatrous kindred in the land of Ur of the Chaldees (Iraq). His call by God transcend to the birth of Isaac whom the bible regard as the child of promise. Eventually, Isaac bore twelve sons: these sons became the tribes that formed the united states of Israel. The Israeli nation happens to be God chosen people and place. Records can tell of various occasions in the bible and in history how God saved the Jews from annihilation. The Call of Abraham!

After God destroyed the first world through flood; He had always searched for a faithful servant- a servant that will fulfil his plan of bringing Man back to fellowship with HIM. The post flood era saw great men like Enoch and Job: these men honestly and sincerely served God to the end. Eventually, God saw Abram and called him out of his Kindred. His call was to fulfil God's plan on earth and also, to be the father of Great nations. God was to recreate the earth through Abraham and bless the earth through his seed (Jesus Christ).

Noah's World: The First Apocalypse!

The earth has gone through three transitional phases: the first was the time before the flood; the second was the post flood era (Bible days); the third was the medieval age (Middle Ages); and at present, the advanced jet age. The destruction of the first world was because of man’s sin (Genesis 6). Before the destruction, God gave Man the opportunity of repentance by providing an arc of safety to save them from his judgment but they rebelled and rejected it. The sins of Adam and Eve gave God an opportunity to fashion way for Man redemption. This plan came to being after Adam and Eve fell into sin in the garden of Eden. Man henceforth must face the penalty of physical death and Satan's head will be crushed by the Saviours death on the cross of Calvary. Man originally was created by God to have total and complete dominion over the earth; this however became impossible when man fell into sin and became depraved. As a result, man became slave to sin consequently leading to God's rejection from his presence. God is Unchanging!

The very nature of God is His unchanging words and nature. In fact, Jesus has state that God is high and holy and his standard is unchanging. Jesus in one of His teachings reiterate that, “Heaven and Earth will pass away but the word of God will never”. God has always had controversy with his people whenever they change and deviate from his word (Jeremiah 2 v 11-13); and He condemns change in strong word (Proverb 24 v 21). In the New Testament, Apostle Paul speaks about the unchanging nature of the almighty God when He says “by two immutable things it was impossible for God to lie.” Furthermore, Peter a disciple of Jesus, who spent most of His time with Christ bears witness of the unchanging nature of the Almighty God (1 Peter 1 v 24-25).

Ignorance, not an excuse!

God has sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. The bible made us to understand that Christ has come to redeemed us and to save us from sin and the curse of the law. The price for the redemption of man has been paid which makes it impossible for any man to make excuse. Therefore, God will not accept or tolerate any form of ignorance about the knowledge of Christ saving grace. God expect us to search the scripture and see Christ as revealed in scriptures. Furthermore, the Apostles also in their various writings has warned that God will punish anybody who refuses to accept the finished work at Calvary. Wherefore, man need to come to the throne of grace and accept the free gift: because ignorance is not an excuse.

The Imminent Return of the Lord!

Jesus Christ while on earth told his disciples about His imminent return to the earth. He disclosed his coming in twofold: the Rapture and the Second coming. According to Jesus in Matthew 24, He described to his disciples many signs that will climax his coming. Over the years, this signs have occurred and are still today, which makes the coming of Christ near and imminent. However, it should be noted that- there is no sign given for the Rapture. It was their subsequent (Jew) myopic judgement that made them to reject the Messiah because He has failed to deliver them from their enemies (The Romans oppression).

The validity of 3 BC as Christ Birth date!

Jesus birth in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago remains an issue that is much debated among historians and bible scholars: this is because there are various divergent views and opinion about when Christ was actually born. Some believed that Jesus was born 1 AD while others believe that Christ was born before then. The fact however can be seen in scriptures because bible records according to Daniel 9 v 25 shows that Jesus was born in 3 BC. The rationale behind this date is the fact that; the restoration of Jerusalem was in 457 BC- for Daniel prophecy that between 457 BC to 27 AD, which is about 483 years, the Messiah will be revealed to the public at the matured age of 30 years: this was in 27 AD thereby placing his birth at 3 BC. More so, this date has been confirmed by NASA scientist when historian Ernest L. Martin consulted NASA lunar-phase tables and found the image of the heavens in Revelation 12 showed where the sun and the moon were, relative to Virgo, at the time Jesus was born, pin-pointing sunset of September 11th of 3 BC. It seems the moon moves so quickly, it is "beneath the feet" of Virgo only a few hours every month. Moreover, the moon comes within two lunar diameters of Virgo's feet at the time of a new moon but once in 30 years. The only such occurrence any time near the birth of Jesus was on September 11th, 3 BC.

The Meaning of 69-weeks of Daniel Prophecy!

Daniel prophetic scriptures and message remain one of the most studied part of the entire Bible. This book of scriptures puzzles Bible scholars because of its accuracy and the fulfilment of this prophecies in our time. The 69th week of the 70-weeks prophecy can be interpreted as 483 years of lunar calendar date. In Jewish calendar, a week simply means 7 years and this means 69 x 7 years which equals to 483 years. More so, this date coincide with the year Jesus Christ was anointed Messiah by John the baptist in river Jordan in 27 AD if the year Jerusalem restoration is considered. Similarly, the 483 years of Daniel prophecy begins when the commandment to restore Jerusalem was given by Cyrus in 457 BC and climaxed in 27 AD when Christ was anointed, thereby equating the timing of 483 years.

Birth-date of Jesus Christ!

The clues behind the birth date of Jesus Christ are actually revealed in scriptures: this is because the bible in St Lukes gospels revealed some details which have made theologians, historians, and bible scholars to actually recognize the date, month, day and even the time of Jesus birth. In the 19th century, critical scholars made a crucial decision to reject a total lunar eclipse in January 1 BC and to accept instead, one in March 4 BC; as the chronological cornerstone for dating the death of Herod the Great, and thereby, the possible birth years for Jesus. By so doing, the critics could argue Jesus had to be born before 4 BC, contradicting Luke, who tied Jesus' 30th year to the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar, 27-28 AD. Luke effectively placed the birth in 3 BC, as did many of the early church fathers. Ironically, even the date used by the Pope during the Christmas Eve midnight mass ritual is itself consistent with the last half of 3 BC. Luke tells what happened the day Mary came to the Temple for purification 40 days after the birth of Jesus. All one has to know is what day this was. And Luke plainly names the day. In fact, he includes three statements identifying the day. So what day was this, Yom Kippur: The Day of Atonement which is also the 10th day of the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. In Luke's time, Yom Kippur was called three things: The day of the “Fast,” the day of the “Purification” and the day of “Redemption”. Luke uses all three to identify the day Jesus was brought to the Temple. And he even quotes the Torah rule that mandates the 40-day period for the mother to wait after the child's birth [Luke 2:22-38]. And if there were any doubt that it was Yom Kippur, Luke tells of a woman named Anna who had been in the Temple for a "night and day" without leaving. There was ONLY ONE DAY A YEAR when a person could pray overnight in the Temple: Yom Kippur. All other days, the Temple was locked at sundown. This shows the 40th day of Mary's Purification had begun at the end of Yom Kippur, the end of the 10th day of the 7th month, because we know the Purification was done at the earliest opportunity- at the beginning of the 40th day after birth. And since the 6th month normally had only 29 days, simple arithmetic shows Mary's 39 days of Purification had to have begun around sundown on the 1st day of the 6th month, called Elul. This was the night of the first sighting of the new moon of Elul. The Magi in Babylon were recording this sunset sliver of the new moon on a clay tablet. The cuneiform tablet the Magi made at that hour 2000 years ago, along with thousands of others from Babylon, resides in the British Museum. It is possible that this clay tablet was inscribed by one of the famous Magi who later brought a strange set of gifts to Bethlehem. So the new moon seen by the Magi in Babylon at the very moment of Jesus being born is recorded on one of the tablets now in London. Cuneiform scholars have identified the date on this tablet as equivalent to September, 11, 3 BC.

Daniel 69th week!

The 69th week of Daniel 70-week prophecy is an important period in the history of the Church. It is important because it was the period at which the Messiah was born: and also anointed as the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the whole world. Similarly, it was at the end of this same week that the Messiah was crucified on the cross for the redemption of mankind. Nonetheless, the story never ends there because after three days, He resurrected and was taken to Heaven to be with His Father. The resurrection of Christ ends the 69th week and starts the Church age which was a mystery hidden from the foundation of the earth. In summary, the 69th week brought salvation to mankind through justification by Faith.

Daniel 70 weeks Prophecy!

The 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel came at a time Judah was in distress. For this alone, Daniel wanted to know the mind of God concerning their captivity. He prayed and fasted until God sent Angel Gabriel to bring the reply. God gave a 70 weeks time lag that will start from the issuance of the decree for them to return to their land and its climax at the end of the great tribulation which is yet to come. According to God, this 70 weeks will guarantee: making an end of sin, make reconciliation for iniquity, establishing everlasting righteousness, sealing up the vision and anointing the Messiah as the King of Kings. All these was achieved on the Cross of Calvary, however, establishing everlasting righteousness, sealing up the vision and anointing Christ as the King of Kings will occur at the end of the 70 weeks during the second coming of Christ.

Dedication and commitment remains one of the greatest qualities of a man. A dedicated man is bound to succeed in life. The three wise-men and their effort to find the Messiah showed how dedicated and committed they were to their calling. This three men through their work has earned a place in history. What they did cannot be compared to what our present day scientist are doing. What they achieved was done in the midst of adversity and trouble. They deprived themselves of comfort and stood firm believing God that the Messiah has been born in Bethlehem. They also exhibit courage and refused to report back to Herod. They were obedient to Gods and escaped been killed by Herod.

The Search for the Messiah!

There is no doubt in our mind that the three wise men considered three bible chapters before setting out in search for the Messiah. These chapters where based on the prophecy of Balaam in the book of Numbers; the prophecy of Micah in the book of Micah and the prophecy of Daniel in the book of Daniel. These three chapters talked about the coming Messiah and the conditions surrounding His birth. Balaam called him a STAR out of Judah, Micah state that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem of Judah and Daniel predicted the date and the appointed time the Messiah will be born. Pregnant with this facts, the three wise-men set out in their search and ended up becoming the three wise men of the bible.

The Appointed time!

The race is not for the swift nor for Him that run. This is a popular bible verse that is common to bible scholars and teachers. When the three wise men decided to search for the King that was born, to them it was the appointed time and it was time for God to announce His presence on earth. This three wise men were actually bible scholars who had knowledge of history and records. They took advantage of their knowledge and been led by God travelled hundreds of miles in search of their redeemer and King. This three wise men probably where from Greece because they came from a far country. Eventually, they saw Christ and presented their gifts. However, the three wise men must have considered these bible facts before setting out- that the Messiah shall appear as a star from Judah; that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem and 3 AD was the appointed date given by Daniel the prophet.

The Captivity and Christ First Coming!

The captivity of Judah and the first coming of Christ are synonymous and very important in the study of eschatology. This is so because the 70 weeks prophecy God gave Daniel begins with the captivity and the 69 weeks predict Christ first coming while the end of the 70 weeks talks about the great tribulation. More so, the end of the 70 weeks marks the beginning of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. From previous study, the restoration of Jerusalem was in 457 BC and Christ was anointed in AD 27. Which means, 69 weeks or 483 years cut across the captivity and his anointing as the Messiah by John the baptist. From this findings, We can actually say that Jesus was born in AD 3. This date however has been confirmed by theologians, historians and NASA.

Christ First Coming revealed!

Jesus has told us to search the scriptures, for in them are the words of life. Daniel the prophet, during the Babylonian captivity prayed unto God because He wanted to know if God will still deliver Israel after 70 years in Babylon. It was very necessary for Him to know because it appears nothing was happening after 70 years. Eventually, God granted His request and gave Him the answer He craved for. Fortunately, when the answer came, it cut across His time even to the end of age. But one specific prediction was not considered by the Jews- the first coming of Christ!. Daniel said, "that from the commandment to restore and to build Israel unto the Messiah shall be 69 weeks", which means, when the commandment for Israel to return to their land and to restore Jewish worship by building the temple in Jerusalem, to the anointed of the Messiah will be 483 years. Please note, in Jewish calendar a week means 7 years period. Having left Babylon already from previous Cyrus decree, another decree was issued in 457 BC for Israel to build the temple and to restore Jerusalem. Therefore, from 457 BC (restoration of Jerusalem) to 26 AD (the anointing of the Messiah by John the baptist) was 69 weeks or 483 years according to bible prophecy.

Is Christ Return Imminent?

There is no doubt in our mind that if we consider what is going on at present, then we have to conclude that Christ coming is imminent. This is because, Jesus gave signs of His coming. He spoke about wars, famine, pestilence and natural disasters as the signs of His coming (Matthew 24). Presently, all these things are occurring in divers places. Therefore, We have to watch and pray so that this day does not come to us as a surprise.

The Mayan Prophecy?

Is the world really coming to an end in 2012? Or are we seeing another hoax? Who were the Mayans? Can their prophecy be trusted, or is it been misinterpreted by end of the world freak. Was the Mayans even spiritual talk-less of been religious. These are some of the questions that needs to be answered. From my knowledge and research, the Mayans were highly developed society that engaged in human sacrifices. They also practice astrology and were able to predict the future. Was their way of life responsible for their demise and destruction thousands of years ago. Time will tell!
